Gifts to Support Athletic Department Priorities (PBAF General) contribute to...
Click on the video below for a brief message of thanks from student-athletes:
On May 6 and 7, 2026, Bowdoin sports fans rallied to support student-athletes for the fourth year in a row. Once again, you broke donor records, demonstrating the strength and commitment of our great community!
Thank you to everyone who supported the effort this year and to our generous PBAF and sport-specific challengers.
Please reach out to pbaf@bowdoin.edu with any questions.

The Polar Bear Athletic Fund (PBAF) helps ensure that Bowdoin's talented student-athletes and coaches have the resources they need to compete at the highest level every year. This critical fund ensures equity across all varsity sports by supporting things like
- Free live webcasts for more than 120 home contests, making the action on campus accessible to alumni, families, and friends around the world.
- Strength and conditioning equipment, classes, and resources to prevent injury and enhance performance.
- Access to sports psychology, sport performance, and nutrition coaches through a partnership with Koomba, providing student-athletes with resources to enhance performance mindset, leadership skills, personal goal setting, and mental well-being within and outside the athletic arena.
- Athletic Trainer coverage of practices and contests, and related injury prevention and treatment resources.
- Additional travel expenses related to rising costs in flights, buses, hotels, and meals to ensure all teams have in- and out-of-region travel opportunities.
We encourage you to split your gift between the PBAF and your favorite sport(s) to help us strive for team excellence and ensure equity across all varsity teams!
Support up to five areas in one transaction by selecting an “Area of Impact” on the gift form and then clicking “+Add Another.” Your gift to the team will be reflected on the team page, and gifts to other areas will be reflected on their respective pages.
